Fragrant oils
Our fragrant oils are tested, and are safe for use in the manufacture of cold process soap. Some of our fragrant oils do change the color of the soap, or in a few instances may speed up trace, but some scents are worth the extra work. We make sure you know exactly what will happen with the soap when you use these fragrances. We have given some of our very good scents that do not change the texture and will not speed trace, a special classification of "novice". If you are a new soapmaker and do not need any surprises, choose these scents. They are specifically tested fail proof, so feel free to swirl, marble, or any effect that you may need the extra time to achieve.

	Angel Type for Women: novice Color: Very light tan Texture: Good Strength: Medium Comments. I am not crazy about fragrances that turn soap off white, but this is an exception. I have been hunting for a great angel type for women, and I have finally found it. This fragrance is all woman, it is warm and fresh at the same time. This one used at .7 per pound lasts for a long time. 	Anise : novice Color: White Texture: Excellent Strength: Medium Comments: In the bottle and when the soap is first made this scent is very light, but as the soap cures the liquorice scent becomes more and more predominant . 	Chocolate: novice Color: Brown Texture: Excellent Strength: Strong Comments: If you are looking for a realistic chocolate, this is it. The scent turns the soap brown, surprisingly the exact color of milk chocolate, but the smell is more a bitter chocolate. 	Coconut : novice Color: Light tan Texture: excellent Strength: Medium Comments: I first rejected this scent because it changed the color of the soap to a light tan color, but now that I have tested quite a few different coconut scents, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest, even with the color change. 	Cotton Blossom: novice Color: White Texture: Good Strength: Medium/Strong Comments: This is a great copy of a BBW scent. It is fresh with a touch of warm base note that seems made for soap. 	Green Tea Elixir: novice Color: White Texture: Excellent Strength: Medium Comments: Think about the exotic smells that come from a Chinese occidental shop. This is definitely a new age fragrance. 	Ginger Essence: Experienced Color: Creamy Texture: Excellent Strength: Medium Ginger essence sped up trace a bit, but it is very manageable if you are prepared. This fragrance is well worth the effort, everyone who has smelled this fragrance in soap or anything I made was enthusiastic. This would be a great scent for a line of spritzers, bath salts and CP soap, the fragrance is outstanding in anything I tried it in. 	Jasmine Blossom : novice Color: Creamy Texture: Excellent Strength: Light Comments: This one starts out in the bottle smelling just like your regular spiritual sky Jasmine, but when you make soap from it, it changes to something completely different…. Sparkling, sweet and addicting. At one point I kicked all of the other soaps out of the shower, I like this one so much. The smell seems to increase in depth when wet.
